Undercut Mould Structure and Feature ：
Undercut mould is that core and cavity reverse assembly, then we have to use Spring - loaded Stripping device to unload inserts or parts from core.And cavity is install to mould base, so how to unload insert or parts from it is a question.
Picture 1: the undercut mould utilize unload device of punching machine, to unload parts through pole 9,and remove these parts by compressed air, in order avoid them falling to products, mould base or damage the mould.And there a point should be noted that when the slide parts of punching machine lies in a dead spot, the top panel of circle 5, should 0.2-0.3mm higher then core, that is base material must be press impact before cutting to avoid moving during cutting, which will affect precision requirement.
Undercut mould structure merits:
1) Adopt to Spring - loaded Stripping device, the punching parts are more neat, surface are more smooth.
2) Adopt to unload pole to unload insert or parts from cavity that those things won’t gather in cavity, which can help to reduce pressure and save material for cavity of wall.

3) Due to inserts and parts doesn’t gather in cavity, which can reduce damage to cavity and increase its mould life.
4) Due to inserts and parts doesn’t gather in cavity, there’s no need to make reverse
5) Due to its pressure just work before parts are all pull into cavity, so it just suitable for pulling solid of rotation.
Shortcoming of undercut mould structure:
- Mould structure is much complicated
- Assembly and modify the space between cavity and core is much difficult.
- It’s hard to remove inserts or parts. It’ better to use compressed air to remove them.
Rules of adopt undercut mould:
a. Parts must be neat and soomth
b. Appearance outline is complicated, outline is not even, or material is too thin to be cutting, and pulling solid of rotation will consider to utilize undercut mould.
